Salvation: Our Core Truth

 At Wakeup2day, our greatest desire is to share the hope found in Jesus Christ. This page explains the heart of our message: how a person can receive forgiveness, new life, and eternal life through faith in Jesus.

The Bible teaches that all people have sinned and fall short of God's perfect standard.

Sin separates us from God and prevents us from having a right relationship with Him.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

Because of sin, every person is in need of forgiveness and restoration that only God can provide.

God loves every person deeply and desires that no one be separated from Him.

He made a way for us to be restored through Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son..."   John 3:16

God’s love is not based on our performance, but on His grace.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth to save humanity.

He lived a perfect, sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead.

Through His sacrifice, He paid the price for sin so we could be forgiven.

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."   John 14:6

Salvation cannot be earned through good works, religious effort, or personal merit.

It is a free gift from God offered through grace.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith... it is the gift of God."   Ephesians 2:8–9

We receive this gift by placing our faith in Jesus Christ—trusting Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life.

To believe in Jesus means more than knowing about Him. It means:

• Trusting Him as Lord and Savior
• Turning away from sin (repentance)
• Relying on His sacrifice for forgiveness
• Following Him in daily life

This is a personal response of faith and surrender to God.

When someone trusts in Jesus Christ, the Bible says they become a new creation.

Their sins are forgiven, and they begin a new relationship with God.

"If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"    2 Corinthians 5:17

This does not mean life becomes perfect, but it does mean we are never alone again—God is with us and working in us.

We believe that those who truly place their faith in Jesus Christ can have assurance of eternal life.

Our hope is not based on feelings, but on God’s promise in Scripture.

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life."   John 3:36
